I hardly recognized Meghan. It has been a few years since I last photographed her family, then later her older sister Sarah's senior portraits. She was cool, calm and collected with a radiant smile and really blue eyes. Meghan and her mom and I wandered around Charlotte on an early autumn day, looking for great light and fun backgrounds. I think we got some gorgeous images don't you?
Check out Meghan's video clip below. And, high school seniors, if you've been putting off your outdoor session or don't like what you've had taken, call soon because the beautiful days are slipping away! 802-425-4242.
I met with Greta and her mother and grandmother earlier this week. She is a happy, lively one year-old with a bubbly personality.
She's interesting in absolutely everything and is so proud of her walking skills! Perhaps I should say her running skills. We were all out of breath (except Greta, of course) by the end of our session.
The key to a successful baby portrait session like this one is constant variety and a lot of fun distractions.
A big thanks to Mommy and "Dot" for the energy and enthusiasm that helped make this set of images so adorable!
Ken, Kolin and their children Jackson and Jenna took part in a beautiful ceremony at this wedding. They each poured colored sand, chosen by themselves, into a glass heart to represent the inseparability of their new family. It was a very moving and meaningful part of the celebration.
There were still beautiful autumn leaves up at Moose Meadow Lodge in Duxbury where I photographed Ken and Kolin and their two beautiful children Jackson and Jenna. They laughingly called themselves 'The Vest Family' and you can see why. They are all natural models and photophiles.
We had a blast, got some gorgeous images and, guess what? Ken and Kolin are getting married on Saturday. I can't wait to see their home, meet their families and make many more beautiful memories for this Vermont family.
I met with Emily and her Mom yesterday for a distinctive senior portrait session.
She's interesting, dramatic, musical and has a polished style all her own. She's interested in art and hopes to continue an artistic education after graduation.
It was rainy yesterday, but we got some lovely outdoor images in addition to our studio session, thanks to a porch roof.
The leaves are falling, though, so if you'd like to book a senior session for indoors or out, give me a call at 802-425-4242.
I met with Nicholas on a gorgeous autumn day near his home. We had almost perfect light, a little overcast like it has been all week.
There's something about that late afternoon light. This image was taken near the beach, with just a bit of sun poking through the clouds.
Have you noticed how much more natural senior portraits are these days? What a relief from the enforced formality of old style studio portraits, certain clothing allowed, etc.
Kids can really be themselves, and that's the way I like it.
If you haven't had your senior portrait taken yet, or hate the one you got at school, call now before the snow flies! 802-425-4242
