Summer Fun

Meet Faith and Clare ~ cousins who don't get to see each other often enough because Faith, 13, lives in Japan. I got to capture some beautiful shots of happy-go-lucky Clare, 4, with her cousin in between their summer fun in Vermont ~ swimming parties, sleepovers and visiting grandparents.

A Morning in the Park

I had so much fun with Cara and Jason and their two beautiful little girls Maya, 2 1/2 and Abby, 6 months.  It was on track to be a scorching day, so we met at 8:15 and had a wonderful session while it was still cool.

Cara and Jason are moving to Peru soon, so while they were in Vermont visiting family, they decided to have a portrait made.  Everyone looked great and the girls were so cooperative and expressive.  I know they'll be glad they chose this time in their lives to capture their lovely family.

Emily & Andrew's Wedding Day

It WAS a heavenly day!  The forecast called for 90°, but some high clouds and a breeze made June 19 just perfect for Emily and Andy's wedding celebration.  Family and friends gathered to share the dream of these high school sweethearts at the Chapel of St. Michael the Archangel in Colchester.

The ceremony was lovely and the reception following at The Old Lantern in Charlotte was filled with fun, dancing and great food.  It was such a happy event and Megan and I were honored to be part of it.

Congratulations, Em and Andy!

A New Adventure

It was such a pleasure to see Karen again.  I had photographed her daughter's high school senior portraits a few years ago and we had a great time picking spots for this session.
Karen is embarking on a new phase in her life and, among other things, applying to law school.  She thought it would be a good time to capture the way she is now - happy and vibrant, off on a new adventure.  Enjoy every minute, Karen!

Jordan's Confirmation Day

A beautiful girl on a gorgeous day... Jordan's Confirmation Day. I joined Jordan's family at her home for some portraits just before they headed to St. Michael's Chapel. Her mom, dad, brother Tyler and grandparents Mary and Bob are all so proud of her today.
I first photographed Jordan when she was about 6 years old and she was lovely then, too. Congratulations, Jordan!

Congratulations, Sydney

Along with many other area high school seniors, Sydney received responses from her college applications last week. She applied to 14 colleges, was admitted to six, wait-listed to one and rejected by the rest. But when she opened one special envelope, she said, "Oh, my God, I got into Harvard!"
News of Sydney's acceptance appeared in Monday's Burlington Free Press along with a wonderful photo of her (which I can't find on line or I would provide a link here). According to the Harvard Crimson a record-low 6.9 percent of applicants have been accepted to the Harvard College Class of 2014, so this is a major accomplishment and testimony to Sydney' hard work and dedication in her studies and extra-curricular activities.
I photographed Sydney recently for her yearbook portrait and she is as lovely as she looks.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TIMMY!

Timmy is ONE today! I enjoyed photographing him and seeing how he's grown from the 3-month old infant I met last July. He's active and curious, a typical baby boy.
I photographed Timmy's big sister Anna Belle when she was one and am posting her image below. I just love watching kids grow. It's one of the perks of being a family photographer!
